Privacy policy

Who we are

Panel-It designs, fabricates and installs custom TV walls, wall finishes and feature ceilings in the Greater Houston area. This policy explains what information we collect through panellit.com and when you contact us, how we use it and the choices you have. Where it says "we" or "us", it means Panel-It.

Information you give us

When you ask for an estimate or get in touch, you choose what to send. That usually includes:

• your name, phone number and email address
• the address or area of the project
• photos of the room, rough measurements and a description of what you want

The estimate form on this site does not send anything to our servers. It opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing reaches us until you press send. Phone calls, texts and emails come to us directly.

Information collected automatically

Website analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages are useful. It runs on a server operated for us by our web agency, not by an advertising company. Umami does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not track you across other websites. It records the page you visited, the site that referred you, your browser, operating system, device type and an approximate country. Your IP address is used only to work out the country and is not stored.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser details and the time of your request, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use social media pixels.

How we use your information

• to reply to you, arrange a site visit and prepare a drawing and a price
• to carry out, schedule and invoice the work you ask us to do
• to keep records we are required to keep for tax, accounting and warranty purposes
• to understand, in aggregate, how the website is used and improve it

We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising or send you marketing you did not ask for.

Who we share it with

We only share what is needed to do the job:

• Trade partners working on your project, such as the licensed electrician or plumber, who receive the address and details they need
• Service providers that run our email, phone, accounting and website, who process data on our behalf
• Authorities where the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute

Photos of your project

We like to photograph finished work. We will ask before we take photos in your home, and anything we publish shows the work, not you, your family or your address. If you would rather a photo of your project came down, tell us and we will remove it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not go ahead are deleted within two years. For projects we carry out, we keep contact details, drawings and invoices for as long as the warranty runs and the law requires us to keep business records. Analytics data contains no personal information and is kept in aggregate.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it for a particular purpose. Depending on where you live, including under Texas law, you may have further rights. Email panelitusa@gmail.com and we will reply within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Security

We keep your information in password-protected business accounts and limit access to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so please do not email us payment card details.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning work on a home or business. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
